As a subsidiary of CableLabs, we wake up to enable today and tomorrow’s communication for manufacturers and service providers. Here’s five things you might not know about Kyrio. Some might surprise you!
1. As a subsidiary of CableLabs, Kyrio is the commercialization engine for the cable industry and beyond.
In 2012, Kyrio was created to extend innovations that were developed in CableLabs. This allows us to individually work with CableLabs members and vendors on their specific needs, which was not possible due to CableLab’s non-profit status. Kyrio is also able to extend innovations beyond cable into industries such as IoT, energy smartgrid, healthcare and more. Learn more about Kyrio on our About Us page.
2. In addition to performing CableLabs DOCSIS® certification testing, Kyrio can help with pre-certification testing.
Although Kyrio performs testing for the CableLabs DOCSIS certification program, we’re also equipped to help make the certification testing process easier. With pre-certification testing, you can send in your device and find defects earlier in the process that would otherwise be caught in the certification testing, decreasing the overall time it takes to get your device certified. You’ll also get individualized and private attention with one of our testing engineers to work through and resolve defects before submission. Read more tips on our blogs on different ways we can work with you to enhance your experience during the certification testing process.
3. Kyrio provides third-party validation testing for CableLabs members, manufacturers and other solution providers.
With independent third-party validation testing, CableLabs members, manufacturers and other solution providers can make an informed purchase decision before deploying a device into the field. Kyrio’s laboratories are equipped with a variety of testing tools to give you deep insight and analysis into your evaluation process, including an anechoic and semi-anechoic chamber, as well a 5,000 sq. ft. test house.
4. Kyrio manages over 500 million digital certificates which provide device security across the globe.
Kyrio got its start in security by providing digital certificates in cable modems on behalf of the cable industry. Today, we’re extending this work to commercial and industrial IoT, energy smartgrid and medical industries to provide businesses with a security solution that’s scalable and economical for their production workflows. 5. Kyrio’s Go2Broadband is celebrating its 18 year anniversary and is the cable industry’s online marketplace platform of choice.
Go2Broadband (G2B) was developed in 2000 in partnership with CableLabs and the cable industry and provides a national single point of contact for members and their partners to connect with residential and business customers with cable offers and services at a specific address. Today G2B sets the standard for identifying specific addresses by products, services and special offers available at an individual location.
