Kyrio’s Top Cybersecurity Predictions

In case you haven’t noticed the abundance of dedicated cybersecurity content in the media lately, October is National Cybersecurity Month Awareness Month (NCSAM). This year’s theme is “Securing the Internet is our Shared Responsibility,” with a focus on engaging and informing the public on tools to circumvent cyber threats.

So far, 2017 has brought a staggering number of high profile cyberattacks and data breaches. The Equifax breach affected more than 143 million people and the WannaCry ransomware walloped public utilities and large corporations around the world. And most recently we all learned about the existence of the KRACK security vulnerability in Wi-Fi WPA2 security. In the spirit of the month, we wanted to share with you where we think cybersecurity is headed and what surprises may be in store. Even though we don’t have an infallible crystal ball, we do have good old fashioned research and intuition. In the video below, our president and general manager, Mitch Ashley, gives his view on what the rest of this year and 2018 may have in store for us.
