Kyrio Offers Open Connectivity Foundation Certification for IoT Devices

Today, Kyrio announced that it has been authorized to provide IoT device certification testing in compliance with the Open Connectivity Foundation’s (OCF) specifications. This news is an addition to the company’s existing testing services, and as of today, Kyrio is ready to begin working with manufacturers to begin the process of getting their devices certified.

There are considerable opportunities for device manufacturers in the IoT space. Manufacturers have a chance to capitalize in the market, where Gartner predicted that there will be 20 billion connected devices by 2020, and a more recent statistic predicts that there will be 6.4 billion connected things worldwide in 2016 – a 30% increase from 2015.

Kyrio’s engineers have also been actively involved in the development of various certification documents, including leading an ad-hoc group within the Certification working group to clarify information provided in the Certification Procedure requirements document.
